Draft: this page is still being reviewed and may change before My Wedding Day opens to everyone. It is not legal advice.
My Wedding Day is a wedding website with an AI assistant that answers guests' questions. It is run by ConvenientAI LLC, a Florida company (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect when you use myweddingday.net, why, and the choices you have.
Who uses My Wedding Day
- Couples sign in to create and manage a wedding page.
- Wedding party members are friends or family the couple adds. They answer guest questions from a private link.
- Guests open the couple's link and chat with the assistant. Guests never make an account.
What we collect
- Account details. When a couple signs in, we store their name, email address and, if they use Google, their Google profile picture and Google account ID. We don't receive or store Google passwords, and we don't use passwords at all: email sign-in works by a one-time link.
- Wedding details. What the couple enters: names, dates, venues and addresses, schedule, dress code, hotels and booking links, registry, notes for guests, invitation design, and the names (and family side) of wedding party members. The couple can optionally add their email addresses for guest-question alerts. We also store each member's alert preference and when alerts were last sent.
- Guest chats. The questions guests ask the assistant and its answers, saved with the wedding they belong to. Questions sent to the wedding party are saved with a random ID kept in the guest's browser, so the answer can be shown when they come back. We don't ask guests for their name, email or phone number, but anything a guest types into the chat is saved, so please don't share sensitive information there.
- Technical data. When you sign in we record your IP address and browser type with your session, and we use IP addresses to limit repeated sign-in attempts. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs. We don't use advertising or analytics trackers.
Cookies and browser storage
We use cookies only to keep couples signed in and to remember an invite code during sign-up. The site stores a few items in your browser's local storage: a guest's random ID and which answers they have seen, an unfinished wedding setup, and whether you dismissed the “add to home screen” tip. Clearing your browser data removes them.
How we use information
- To run the service: show wedding pages, answer guest questions, and pass questions to the wedding party.
- To sign couples in and send sign-in emails.
- To email wedding party members about guest questions when alerts are enabled. They can turn these emails off from their private page or an email's unsubscribe link.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
- To find and fix problems, and to improve the assistant's answers.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Services we share data with
We rely on these providers to run My Wedding Day. Each receives only what it needs for its job:
- Google Gemini (Google LLC) generates the assistant's answers. Each guest question is sent to Gemini together with the wedding details the assistant needs to answer it. For some questions about public places, Gemini uses Google Search.
- Google Places helps couples find venue addresses and shows parking and hotels near the venues. We send it search text and venue locations, not personal information.
- Google Sign-In lets couples sign in with their Google account, if they choose to.
- Resend sends sign-in emails, so it receives the couple's email address. It also sends guest-question alerts to wedding party members, receiving their email address, the couple's names, question text and the member's private answer and unsubscribe links. Alerts don't include a guest ID.
- Supabase hosts our database, where accounts, wedding details and chats are stored.
- Vercel hosts the website and keeps server logs.
These providers are based in the United States, and your information is stored and processed there. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety, or as part of a sale or merger of our business.
Who can see a wedding page
A wedding page and its invitation can be seen by anyone who has the link. The couple's manage page and each wedding party member's page are private: they need a sign-in or a private link. Wedding party members see the questions guests send them and can answer them. Answers from the wedding party become part of what the assistant knows, so other guests of that wedding may receive them.
How long we keep it
We keep account details, wedding details and chats while the account or wedding exists. When a wedding is deleted, its details, chats and questions are deleted with it. Backups and logs may keep copies for a limited time afterwards.
Your choices and rights
Couples can edit their wedding details at any time. Anyone can ask us to see, correct or delete their personal information, or to delete an account or wedding, by emailing myweddingday@convenient-ai.com. Guests can ask us to delete their chat messages; telling us the wedding and roughly when you asked helps us find them. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, and we will honor them.
Security
We use encrypted connections, keep keys and passwords to our providers secret, and limit access to the database. No service is perfectly secure, so we can't promise that information will never be accessed without permission.
Children
Couples must be 18 or older to create an account. My Wedding Day isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell couples by email or in the app.
